These are some of the idyllic descriptions that may come to your mind when you witness the blooming of the Cherry blossom along the Breite Strasse and the Heerstrasse streets at the "Altstadt" (Old Town) in the city of Bonn, Germany.

Every year during the beginning of Spring, and only for15 days (usually between the end of March and the beginning of April), this area of the old town at Bonn is decorated by the stunning colours of the Cherry trees.

The tops of the trees form tunnels of flowers and provide a refreshing shadow to take relaxing walks by the streets of the Altstadt (Old Town)

But if you are the kind of persons that enjoy having full space and quite walks, then it is better to visit Bonn's Altstadt during weekdays, anytime from the morning until around 17h00.

During the blooming of the Cherry Blossom you will find all kinds of delicious candies and food along the streets, for kids as well as for adults.

People enjoy the sensation of being covered by a roof of petals with psychedelic colours ranging from clear pink to deep purple, forming real tunnels of flowers which contrast with the intense green of the trees at the end of the Breite Strasse street.

Along the visit kids will also find all kinds of surprises that will make their experience a memorable one.
